Old Schoolhouse

Area Address Building Status Architectural Style
South/ Southeast
Boise, Idaho
Private Craftsman

The Old School Home is hidden from the common viewing of the public but an in-depth look at the home reveals the largely arts and craftsman style coupled with the farmhouse style. Areas of the home that display this unique arts and crafts style include stained lead glass windows, doors, and other random add on decorations. Once a traditional school house the building was remade in 1950 as a residential area on a plot of land consisting of 1.778 acres. The box shaped farmhouse home has one fire place, 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms; with add on green house, upstairs bedroom with porch, and lastly an expansive cellar area. The 2897 sq. ft home is an example of form following function and history of growth in Boise over the years.
